There are three types of registrations: individual, group, and media. To register for the conference, please click on the corresponding button below.
Media registration is only for qualified individuals who are attending IAS 2019 in their capacity as journalists or community educators representing recognized general news, medical, community-based or AIDS service organization-based media outlets
To encourage broad participation in the conference, organizers are offering a four-tiered fee structure with lower registration fees for delegates from upper-middle-income countries, lower-middle-income countries and low-income countries (based on the World Bank Classification), and students/youth/post-docs.
The standard registration fee includes:
(after 14 Feb. 2019)
(after 16 May 2019)
It is the delegate’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements for Mexico and apply for a visa, if necessary. More information will be available soon.
Individuals requiring an official Letter of Invitation to be submitted to the embassy when applying for a visa can request one on the online registration form or by contacting the IAS 2019 Registration Department at [email protected].
Delegates, accompanying persons/children, student/post-doc/youth delegates and exhibitors must first register for the conference, pay in full and submit any required supporting documents (if applicable) before a Letter of Invitation is issued. Media representatives must first register for the conference, pay in full for any additional orders (if applicable), submit all required documents and get approval from the conference organizers before a Letter of Invitation is issued.
The letter of invitation does not financially obligate the conference organizers in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the conference are the sole responsibility of the delegate. The letter of invitation does not guarantee an entry visa to Mexico.
Delegate registration details may be shared with Mexican immigration authorities to assist in the immigration process. However, the conference organizers and/or the IAS 2019 Registration Team will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of delegates.
Delegates must be at least 18 years old to attend the conference on their own. All children/youth under the age of 18 must be registered as accompanying children and be accompanied by an adult who is registered for the conference in order to attend. In addition, a Parent/Guardian Consent Form must be completed for each accompanying child and submitted to the IAS 2019 Registration Department.
The accompanying child must bring a copy of the completed Parent/Guardian Consent Form to the conference and carry it at all times. Accompanying children must be with the main delegate or an accompanying adult of that delegate at all times when they are in the conference venue or when they are attending conference-affiliated activities outside of the conference venue. In addition, they may be asked to provide official photo identification (e.g. passport, student ID) confirming their age.
